CELEBRATING A YEAR OF UNITY, IMPACT AND PROGRESS: ADIDAS RUNNERS 2024
As 2024 comes to a close, it’s time to celebrate the incredible achievements of the adidas Runners community. From record-breaking milestones to impactful global initiatives, this year has been a testament to the power of unity, inclusivity, and sustainability in running.
Move For The Planet

In 2024, adidas Runners continued its Move for the Planet campaign, partnering with Common Goal to inspire global change through movement. From clean-up events in Cairo to upcycling workshops in New York, the community came together to make a positive environmental impact. Initiatives included eco-friendly art festivals in Tel Aviv, obstacle courses in Singapore, and clothing donations for communities in need. By combining fitness with sustainability, adidas Runners empowered participants to integrate environmental action into their everyday activities, driving collective change worldwide.
With Women We Run

Entering the second year of our With Women We Run (WWWR) campaign, adidas Runners continued to champion inclusivity and empower women in running communities worldwide. Through workshops, mentorship, and allyship initiatives, the campaign created safe, supportive spaces for women to thrive. Events and discussions encouraged participants to share experiences, break barriers, and build stronger, more diverse communities. By promoting equality and unity, WWWR inspired women everywhere to take charge of their running journeys and become powerful forces for change.
adidas Runners week

2024 also marked the third annual adidas Runners Week, an inspiring event where Captains and Coaches from around the globe came together to learn, compete, and celebrate. The week was packed with activities designed to foster a deeper sense of belonging, strengthen the running community, upskilling, and spark new ideas for local initiatives.

A key focus was building purpose, with workshops centered around creating safer running environments and promoting sustainability through initiatives like Move For The Planet. Captains and Coaches discussed allyship, shared best practices, and explored how to drive global change on a local level.

The theme of unity continued with a panel talk from the adidas Runners Sustainability Squad, offering insights into maintaining the places we run. Attendees also took part in creative challenges to plan sustainable activations in their communities. An inspiring panel featuring 800m World Champion Marco Arop, Performance Psychologist Ana Čerenšek, and Coach Dr. Pouria Taheri explored the importance of mindset, movement and community in achieving personal success. They emphasized that it’s not just about individual performance, but about the support and community that drive success.
adidas Runners collection

The adidas Runners 2024 collection built on the success of the December 2023 launch, offering fresh ways for runners to connect and express themselves globally. Featuring new colorways and the first-ever adidas Runners-branded Supernova shoe, the collection embodied our Every Pace Has a Place ethos.

Its versatile pieces, from hoodies to breathable shorts, quickly became community favorites for both performance and everyday wear. To celebrate, adidas Runners set an ambitious challenge to run a combined 4.6 million km – the distance to the moon and back. Not only did they hit this target, but they surpassed it, logging an incredible 8.2 million km, showcasing the power of their collective passion and commitment.
New AR communities

This year, adidas Runners expanded its global reach by launching two new communities: Guadalajara and Monterrey. These additions highlight the power of community-led growth, as local runners came together to create meaningful connections and build strong, inclusive spaces for everyone. The goal is to continue nurturing these new communities while encouraging more cities around the world to come together for the shared love of running.
Are you ready to close out 2024 with a bang? Log 12 hours of movement throughout December and push yourself to new limits. Then, lace up and join runners worldwide for our virtual 5K on December 31st. End the year on a high by signing up today and celebrate your progress with the adidas Runners global community!

We’re excited for what the new year will bring and look forward to growing, inspiring, and running together with our adidas Runners community. Follow us on Instagram to catch all the highlights!
